Professional Background

Irving has been an IT Consultant and Manager since 2000. He actually answered his first tech support call in 1983 in 5th grade, when he was called to the principal’s office to demonstrate how to load a program from cassette tape on a Commodore Pet computer.

Soccer Experience/Volunteerism

Irving has volunteered with SYSA since 2013, first in a coaching capacity and now as a board member. Using his signature style, known as “Coaching at the Top of My Lungs”, he was appreciated for his trademark high energy, but was eventually (thankfully) replaced by adherents of the Positive Coaching Alliance. Now he paces the sidelines of his children’s games on the parents’ side of the field, trying very hard not to yell at anyone.

Personal

Irving lives in Shaker Heights with his wife and two sons and enjoys watching and rewatching Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals.
