Professional Background

Nicol started her career as a CPA with Arthur Andersen, focusing on audit and mergers and acquisitions. She then stepped away from the field and took on various roles in the community while raising her children, including serving as a Co-President of PTO Council and Boulevard Elementary PTO, on the advisory committees during Shaker School’s strategic and facilities planning processes, and as Treasurer of New One Shaker. In recent years she renewed her CPA license and gained further experience in M&A consulting and as the CFO of a small business. She also serves as a trustee of the Shaker Schools Foundation.

Soccer Experience/Volunteerism

Nicol started playing soccer in early elementary school and was a member of the first women’s team at her high school. She’s been a SYSA parent since about 2010, and has experience as a coach, a team and tournament manager, and served as the Board’s Treasurer from 2019-early 2024.

Personal

Nicol lives in Shaker Heights with her husband and children, and enjoys cheering for her son on the Shaker Heights High School men’s soccer and baseball teams.
